Lawn Fertilization & Insect Control Program
Travis Pest Management’s lawn fertilization program is comprised of the following:
- We provide quarterly fertilizer treatments per calendar year.
- Three of these applications (spring, summer, and fall) consist of an environmentally friendly slow-release fertilizer with an insecticide blend.
- The fourth lawn treatment, applied during the winter, includes an application of slow release fertilizer with a post emergent herbicide.
- Because phosphorous occurs naturally in most Florida soil types, we recommend fertilizers with very little or no phosphorous.
- Included with this service are timely insecticide treatments for the control of lawn damaging insects like chinch bugs, sod web worms and army worms.
- Fungicide treatments are administered when necessary for the control of diseases like Brown Patch, Grey Leaf Spot, Dollar Spot and Pythium Blight.
- Finally, fire ants are treated with insecticidal baits or ba
its with Insect Growth Regulators (IGR’s).
In addition to the above lawn program, Travis Pest Management provides individual or double lawn treatments for the control of Fire Ants, Brown Crazy Ants, Fleas and Ticks.
